I then moved to Chicago where I worked at the Merchandise Mart for three years, then went to an office furniture dealer for five years until my second son was born.  I then went back to work part-time selling new homes for custom builders.  After my third son was born I became a stay at home mom until I began selling Longaberger Baskets.  I met my husband in college, we dated for six years and married in 1993.

Favorite TC Memory:  The County Tournament, Fred always knowing when I needed help to get home, Pat helping me with accounting before school, and too many others to name.

What've You Been Doing Since Graduation:  I spent the first 10 years after graduating working and traveling.  I met my husband through a mutual friend in 1994 and we've been married since 2000.  I also joined Lowe's in 1994.  Since then, I've become a Master Gardener and passed my Illinois Nurseryman's Association exam.  I also do volunteer work at Lincoln Memorial Garden and help run my husband's business (Eden Construction, Inc.).  When we're not working, we are traveling in our R.V..

Favorite Memories:  After school trips with Shannon to Bud's Corner, all those crazy road trips with Shane, Brian L., and "Beela," making and placing a "Free BJs" sign late at night in a certain person's yard with Red, Butch, and P.G. (?), and who could forget-riding in the back of the schoolbus (on the way to Milikin U.) listening to Rich Stults serenade

Employer:  Archer Daniels Midland Company in Decatur IL.  Presently I am the Technology Officer for the ADM Grain Division.  Responsibilities include all technology issues for 140+ grain elevators, river terminals and export terminals in the U.S. and some international locations.  Started at ADM in 1990.  Spent 3 years as a Commodities Trader, 8 years as Assistant Traffic Manager in U.S. Rail Transportation and now 5 years in my present role.
 
Activities since graduation:  B.S. in Economics, 1990, Millikin University.  Working at ADM for 16 years.  I got married to Becky in 1997.  Millikin University Alumni Board, Millikin University - Central Illinois Alumni Board, Grace United Methodist Church Chancel Choir.  Most time now spent with family and working around home.  I am active road cyclist - ride 125+ miles weekly with a local group.  Still see Bill & Lisa Glaze often. 
 
Favorite Tri-City memory:  This is a hard one....I think the trips are the memories I think about most - Springfield Lincoln sites, Brookfield Zoo, Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Senior Ski Trip, etc.  "Fiddler on the Roof" senior year was a great time.  Track practices and lettering in track.  Perry Hall's, Chuck Wilson's & Chuck Harris' classes - skills I still use.  Too many memories to choose a favorite!

Favorite TC Moment:  Perry Hall's sayings - "E I E  Education is exciting" or "Typers win, talkers lose" or "Duh".  Mr Harris' composition class was also the source of many good times.

Life after high school:  I was in the United States Air Force National Guard from 1986 to 1992.  I was married in 1992 and worked at Memorial Medical Center from 1988 to 2001 and at Carlinville Area Hospital from 2002 –2003.  This past year we moved to a new home in the country and we won a four-wheeler in a drawing, what great timing!  I started a new business with Beauti Control (www.beautipage.com/nursing2).  I am very active in my church as I teach Sunday school to 5th and 6th grade students and serve as the Christian Education Chairperson and Deacon.  I keep very busy with my kid’s activities as Aryn plays soccer, basketball, and volleyball.  Alex plays soccer, basketball, football, and baseball.

Life after high school:  Graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Astronautical Engineering; stationed at Falcon (now Schreirer) Air Force Base in Colorado as n orbit analyst for Global Positioning System, Defense Support Program, Defense Meteorological Satellite Program; at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico as a test analyst’ at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado as a requirements officer; at Washington D.C. as intelligence officer; at Los Angeles Air Force Base in California as a rocket engineer; M.S. in industrial engineering from New Mexico State University.  I have also traveled Europe for both business and pleasure.

Favorite TC Memory:  Quite a few…we had such an awesome class!  Anytime we beat Niantic, especially in basketball.  I still remember David Lacy and I holding off an aggressive Niantic after everyone else had fouled out.  Loved the hand drawn posters; and really admired Mr. Idle’s leadership style.

Favorite TC Memory:  Mash was so much fun and it was so authentic with the costumes and supplies from Mr. Patterson.   Also when the girl’s track team (maybe 8th grade or freshman year) hired a stripper for our moms for mother’s day.

Life after high school:  I played baseball and attended Lincoln Land for two years before earning a B.S. from Illinois State University in 1990 and my Masters from the University of Illinois in Springfield in 1999.  I worked and lived in Athens for eight years as a teacher and athletic director.   I became an assistant principal at Warrensburg-Latham for three years and I have been the middle school principal at Riverton for the last five years.  My wife, two daughters, and I have lived in Riverton for the past six years.  I have coached my daughter’s summer softball team for the past three seasons. 

Favorite TC Memory:  What stands out in my mind most are the mornings before school in Senior Hall or the Old Gym where everyone would congregate and socialize.  I loved getting to school early so I could hang out (I always was a morning person).  Mr. Harris would write lunch tickets and everyone would mull around with no real purpose other than talking and relaxing before school started.  One thing I always liked about T-C was that we knew everyone in school.   I also enjoyed dominating Abbott in wiffle ball.

Life after high school:  A year after graduation Rick and I got married (19years).  I couple years after that we purchased our home and had Vince in 89 and Gage in 91.  I worked at Rohn and Haas in Illiopolis before opening my own daycare in 1995 while Rick went back to school to become chiropractor.  We go camping a lot  and skiing every January in Colorado.  In May I always participate in a Cattle Round-up.  I really enjoy the outdoors (canoeing, hiking, and vacations with my family).

What have you been doing since graduation?  _Attended Odessa College in Odessa, Tx.  Finally have settled into Auburn with Mike, Lil Lora, Nate and Kayla.  They all keep up very busy with sports, sports and sports!!  I have on more than one occasions cheered for the Tornadoes instead of the Trojans!!!

 

Favorite Tri City memory  I have so many memories....The snow day that Me, Ang and Buff went for a wild ride in his little yellow bug on water tower road!!  Water tower road in general...haha.    Also recall party after graduation when Dick Shull got his car stuck in the mudd.  It was a huge mess!!!!  Betting Abbott choco. chips cookies before a basketball game.  The bet was to see who guessed closest the number of baskets he would make that nite.  I don't recall him ever paying up his cookies either.  Our trip (me and Karen) to Daytona Beach was Kay Waters.

Favorite TC Memory:  Nearly getting suspended for gargling the National Anthem at the Homecoming Assembly my senior year.  Thanks, Cheryl (Harris) Churchill for asking everyone to rise for the occasion.  Thanks also to Mr. Hardin (R.I.P.) for being understanding and letting me sing the National Anthem at Senior Night for redemption.
